  • Distillery Operations Technician
  • Warehouse and Distillery Operative

Office Administrator / Receptionist

The Role:

  • General administration duties such as answering telephone calls, responding to emails, typing correspondence, minute taking, data entry, stationery requests, hospitality requests, arranging post and other ad hoc duties as required.
  • Meeting and greeting guests and visitors to the distillery.
  • Assisting with the planning and organisation of distillery tours and events.
  • Providing support for the Sales and Marketing team, as required.
  • Providing support for staff in the distillery gift shop, as required.

 

The Person:

  • Minimum of five GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English Language and Mathematics.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and presentable at all times.
  • Enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.

 

Distillery Operations Technician – Packaging Line

The Role:

  • Carry out production operations including bottling, labelling, case packing and palletising.
  • Record accurate spirit accounts to HMRC standards.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing materials despatch and stock control.
  • Undertake Quality Control checks on raw materials, intermediate product and finished products.
  • Perform basic mechanical and electrical routine maintenance checks and tasks.
  • Operate within Health & Safety legislation.
  • Operate within the Distillery Standard Work procedures and HMRC statutory requirements.

 

The Person:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a production and/or warehousing environment is essential.
  • Experience in automatic or semi-automatic packing operations is desirable.
  • Ability to perform all operational tasks as an effective team member and in a safe, practical and efficient manner.
  • Ability to take decisions based on a logical approach.
  • Demonstrate good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
  • Candidates should be aware that the distillery operates a flexible shift pattern depending on demand.

 

Warehouse and Distillery Operative

The Role:

  • Loading and unloading lorries.
  • Completion and checking of paperwork.
  • Update and maintain warehouse records.
  • General warehouse duties including receiving, storing and despatching goods.
  • Assisting the Distilling Team and Packaging Line as required.
  • Operate within Health and Safety legislation and maintain and safe and healthy working environment.
  • Operate within the Distillery Standard Work procedures and HMRC statutory requirements.

 

The Person:

  • Warehouse experience desirable.
  • Experience in operating a Forklift and Telescopic Handler desirable, but training can be provided.
  • Manual Handling experience desirable.
  • Joinery or woodwork experience desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with a minimum of Grade C in GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics
  • Ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Applicants should note this is a physically demanding role with prolonged periods of standing and manual handling involved.
