We are delighted to introduce the latest release from the Dunville’s Irish Whiskey Exclusive Single Cask Series – a cask strength bottling for Stories & Sips whiskey club.
Cask 1749 is a 12 year old double distilled single malt Irish Whiskey. It spent eight years in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels followed by four years in a Palo Cortado Sherry hogshead for that exceptional Dunville’s sherry cask finish.
This single cask release of just 288 bottles at 58.4% abv will launch on Monday 19 August (3pm Irish time/10am EST) priced $135 / €135 exclusively at Stories & Sips and available to Club members. Membership is open to whiskey fans around the world with worldwide shipping available.
This is our second Dunville’s Single Cask collaboration with Stories & Sips. Founded by Barry Chandler, Stories & Sips is an Irish whiskey club that brings people together via their shared love of Irish whiskey to enjoy great whiskey experiences such as tastings, exclusive bottlings, in-person and online events, sampler kits and cask programmes.

Tasting Notes
Nose – Wood spices, marmalade, orange peel, grape, nutmeg, sweet tobacco, toffee apple, baking spices, caramel and a light red wine note
Palate – Rich, jammy dark fruits, creamy texture with a soft, tingling spice followed by a salted caramel finish
Overall – A very balanced single malt whiskey, with the sherry influence prominent but not overpowering the malt character.
