Dunville’s Irish Whiskey has partnered with Madden’s Bar in Belfast for the latest release from its Dunville’s 1808 Casked In Bond series.
Dunville’s 1808 Madden’s Casked In Bond is a modern blend of pot still, malt and grain whiskeys. The limited release of 350 bottles was matured in ex-bourbon and virgin American oak casks for 6 years before being married for a further nine month finish in an Applewood Rye Cask. The bottle features a bespoke label featuring an illustration of Madden’s bar by Belfast based illustrator Cowfield Design.
It will be available from 7pm on Friday 1 November, exclusively from Madden’s Bar on Berry Street, Belfast, priced £55. There is also the opportunity to purchase along with a limited edition Dunville’s and Madden’s Bar hipflask for a combined price of £65.

A fitting collaboration with another institution embodying The Spirit of Belfast. Comhrá, Craic, Ceol agus Uisce Beatha.”
Brian McMullan from Madden’s Bar said: “With an ever growing whiskey collection and whiskey curious clientele, and a year under our belts of running a monthly whiskey club, we felt that Dunville’s were the perfect partner to work with on our first own release here in Madden’s Bar.
“We share the same pride in our city’s pub and distilling heritage, and a passion for ensuring that these traditions are kept alive for future generations. Tigh gan traidisiún, tigh gan anam.”

Nose – Fresh citrus fruit salad, apricot, pineapple, lychee, pomegranate, orange zest and freshly cut apples give way to Halloween toffee apples, pear drops, wild meadow honey and warming nutmeg
Palate – Creamy, balanced and rich, the toffee apple note develops into spiced apple crumble, Chantilly cream, salted almonds, cardamon, and just a hint of fresh cut green herbs.
Finish – It’s all about those applewood rye casks. Red apples, apple sours, red currents, vanilla pods, and muscovado sugar, give way to gorgeous warming cinnamon and gentle rye spice.
